Rebecca is currently working on her next album at Pirate Studios
NSW with Dave Sparks (The Saints/The Lime Spiders). The newest demo from the
record is “Pretty Big Mess”. There are four new album tracks at
www.myspace.com/rebeccamooresydney A live recording of another new track from
the album titled "Deep Down" placed in the top 100 of the Acoustic category of
the Musicoz Awards in 2006. 2001 Rebecca won the APRA Professional Development Award in
the Rock category. This financed a UK tour to support the international release
of her first album and also her EP "Butterfly Catcher". This recording was
engineered by Jen Anderson in Melbourne, featuring Grant Cummerford (Jeff
Lang/Matt Walker/Xavier Rudd) on Bass. Rebecca was a Finalist in the ABC
Newcastle Music Awards Blues and Roots Award, 2004 with the song "Desert". This
song featured on Rebecca's debut album "The Uluru Concept", which included Gavin
Shoesmith and Jason McGann of the original John Butler Trio. Three other songs
from this record placed in the semi-finals of the 2005 ABC Newcastle Music
Awards.

In 2005/6 Rebecca was Music Director and co-ordinator of the
Acoustic Music Series at the Star of the Sea Theatre in Manly. These concerts
featured great Aussie talent such as Jeff Lang, Melanie Horsnell, Jez Mead,
Trapazoid, Nathan Kaye, Ashley Davies and Matt Walker. In 2007 Rebecca placed
equal 1st in the People's Choice Award of the Good Folk Song Competition in
Melbourne. She also placed third in the Grand Final of the same competition.
In 2008 Rebecca played a six week residency at the Uluru Resort,
her fifth consecutive year at the Kilmore Celtic Festival and a winter residency
at the Mt Guthega Alpine Hotel, NSW. Rebecca completed a tour to the Northern
Territory in October 2007 which included a performance at the Arnhem Land
aboriginal Community of Milingimbi. Notable past performances include Peats
Ridge Festival 2007; the Cygnet Folk Festival; Earthstomp Yallingup WA; The
Kashmir Klub London; 12 Bar London; Ruby Sessions Dublin Ireland; The Corner
Hotel and Manchester Lane Melbourne; The Vanguard, The Annandale Hotel and The
Basement, Sydney; Artsrage and Mojo's, Western Australia.
Rebecca has featured on many radio shows including Triple J's
Morning Show, Creatures of the Spotlight, and Roots n' all, as well as many
local ABC shows plus countless independent stations both in Australia and
overseas. She is a gifted songwriter with ability to transport audiences on an
emotional and metaphorical journey. She has been compared to Tori Amos, and Joni
Mitchell; however she maintains a distinct individuality and an awesome creative
presence.
